Baby Anthony. The lessons. Part 2

A point that cannot be underscored enough is that fact that you and I are really in no control over our lives.

Sure, we save for retirement.
Yes, we surround ourselves with comforts like homes, cars, and clothing.
But when a heart stops beating
…you get the picture really fast that you are in submission to God.

His ways.

His plans.

His rules.

                            He is the dealer

 We are the players
This makes things really hard.

We like to be in control. To have things go smoothly and not mess up our plans is, well, what we all plan.
On January 10th 2011, I not only knew I was out of control.
–I felt like I was out of control.

I was at the mercy of God.

I could not tell you how things would turn out on that Monday…
For no person knows the mind of God.
But luckily,I know the heart of God.

And knowing that He is good gave me a harbor in the tempest.

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
-Philippians 4:7

I read your blog and story about Anthony after seeing a tweet from NILMDTS. My husband and I lost our baby girl and angel Summer on Father's Day, June 21, 2009. I was three days from my due date and the cord was wrapped around her neck and shoulders several times. I really connected with this particular blog post from your story and lessons learned. It is so true that we really have no control over our lives. There is a greater plan out there that we sometimes cannot even try to understand. All we can do is believe that our little angels have a bigger purpose than we even know. The hardest thing about that is not getting to hold them in our arms. Thank you for sharing your story!
