Marriage: Why you (or I) don't get to redefine it.

"How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four.
Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Abe Lincoln.

Marriage has been defined by our Creator in Genesis 2:24,
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh."

Mankind has no right, no matter how popular or unpopular an issue is, to redefine something that is not open for redefining.

"We the people" may be the majority at times, but "we the people" are still subject to error. This is why we need a higher moral authority to appeal to.

That's my 2 cents.
Short & Sweet!

"God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar..." Romans 3:4

Perhaps, short and sweet and I agree! However, there needs to be more discussion on the sancity of covenant marriages .. not second marriages. I find it really amazing how some 'ministers' (present company excluded) will divorce their covenant wives and then remarry. If the example cannot be found in church where it really should be addressed .. couple going through serious challenges that lead to divorce and separation... we are missing the boat and I choose to STAND for our marriage.. however controversial the subject may be to you and perhaps others...
