Anger is an emotion.
Keep in mind that even Jesus experienced anger, so getting angry is not necessarily wrong or even sinful. (Anger can be a good thing. It might give you a way to express negative feelings or motivate you to find a solution to problems.)
It is when the emotion controls you -instead of you controlling it -that things often get messy and you start losing friends.
