A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation.
They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: 'I don't believe that God exists.' 'Why do you say that?' asked the customer.
'Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist.
Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children?
If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain.
I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.'
The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument.
The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop.
Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard.
He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barbershop again and he said to the barber:
'You know what? Barbers do not exist.' 'How can you say that?' asked the surprised barber. 'I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!'
'No!' the customer exclaimed. 'Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.'
'Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me.'
'Exactly!' affirmed the customer. 'That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help.
That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world.'
"I always wondered why somebody didn't do something about that.
Then I realized that I AM somebody."

IS THERE NO GOD?
Atheists claim there is no God, but do they believe it? Is it possible that atheists simply deny that there is a God? Is it plausible that atheists know there is a God, but because of pride, choose not to acknowledge the existence of God?
James 2:19 You believe that God is one. You do well; that demons also believe, and shudder.
Strange that demons believe in God, but atheists claim they do not believe there is a God.
Mark 1:23-24 Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24 saying, "What business do we have with each other Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are---The Holy One of God!"
Atheists proclaim they do know or believe that there is a God. Unclean spirits not only believe that Jesus is The Holy One of God, but that he has the power to destroy them.
Psalm 14:1 The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good.
Do some men deny there is a God as a self deception. If there is no God then there is no right from wrong, no good and evil. If there is no God then men can create a moral code that comports with their lifestyle.
Romans 1:19-20 because that which is know about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse,
God has made it evident in every man that He exists. Denying God does not change the fact of the existence of God.
Psalms 19:1 The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
All you have to do to believe there is God, is look up!
1 Corinthians 20-21 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
The foolish wisdom of the world cannot prove that there is no God.
Through the preaching of the gospel men can believe in God and that Jesus is the Son of God!
